Camera Contained in a Pill

Scientists have created a camera embedded in a pill can be easily swallowed and used to screen for esophageal cancer.

I think its great that there are easier ways to scan for cancer. However, as more and more ‘machines’ are created at this size, when will we hit the point where we have to scan our food for mechanized intruders before eating? Scary stuff. The pill described in the article actually has a tiny tether attached that allows for some control, but a competitor has a completely wireless version.

Maybe someone will get off their ass and make some stool herder robots that can sit in my stomach or intestines and keep the brown logs regular.
