Just kidding. It would be a disaster of epic proportions. The U.S. would win in the short term, but much like Hannibal kicking Roman ass all over Italy and still losing the war (I’m not saying anyone is going to come and destroy Washington if they lose) the U.S. doesn’t have what it takes to win because they can’t decide what “win” means.
A-Do they want everyone in the Middle East to accept Jesus and McDonalds? Oddly enough they already like both.
B-Do they want to conquer them and make them well behaved “Western” nations like they did with Japan and Germany? Good luck. Japan and Germany took massive investments even though they were already industrious and scientific societies
C-Do they just want to put a boot on them while someone extracts all the oil?
