Not the singer. The paranormal/alien/end of days investigator dude played by Lance Henrikson on the X-Files and spin-off series Millennium. Anyhow it looks like ‘they’ have noticed the massive popularity of unnecessary DVD movies among obsessive nerds are making one for the Fox title. Anyhow I think it’s direct to DVD. I can’t tell from this, and this.
Maybe they got the year 2000 end of the world thing wrong (spoiler alert: It’s actually 2012, Mayan space monsters are going to come and mess us up with Llama spit.)

Fuck Balloon Boy, here’s a hoax you can really appreciate;

On the 20th anniversary of the notorious chemical plant disaster in Bhopal, India, Bichlbaum appeared on the BBC as a representative of Dow Chemical, which now owns Union Carbide, the company responsible for the 1984 calamity. He announced a $12 billion plan to provide medical care to the 120,000 victims of the disaster and to fully remediate the factory site. The company’s market value dropped $2 billion in 23 minutes before the hoax was discovered and Dow rushed to explain that it was still refusing to meet the victims’ demands for justice.

Sorry Michael Moore, I haven’t seen your film yet. I want to, but to tell you the truth I’ve really been holding out for “Yes Men Fix the World” set to hit theatres October 23, 2009.

For the uninitiated, Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno are collectively know as the Yes Men and in Andy’s words what they do “pass ourselves off as representatives of big corporations we don’t like. We make fake websites, then wait for people to accidentally invite us to conferences.”

You have likely already heard about one of their stunts which involved presenting the “Global Warming SurvivaBall” to gullible execs who lept at the chance to profit off fear, anxiety, and any potential future human suffering that accompany severe climate change (speaking of Hoax’s check out Brother Greg’s thoughts on the subject).

I love charts, and I love zombies. So just imagine how excited I was when i saw this awesome zombie movie by year table! 2007 seems to have been the peak year, or maybe there’ll be 15 Christmass zombie movies to take 2008 over the top!

A friend recently told me about a documentary called Heavy Metal Parking Lot. He had a VHS copy back in the day, and was going to order the newly available DVD. I’ll wait to check it out once he gets the DVD, but for now I would take a browse through the review below. Its pretty funny.

More Gay Maple Leaf news! There has been a lot of commotion about Jiri Tlusty, the Maple Leaf’s rookie who had a nude photo posted on the internet. This site alone now has brought it up more then once. With Facebook, myspace, and all the other web 2.0-style social sites, it doesn’t take long to spread this stuff around. You would think he was Britney Spears or Nick Lachey based on the general interest. Maybe people are thankful to turn their attention to someone new for a day or two, especially if they let their wang hang out. Nick: expose the hog, brother, and maybe you’ll top Jiri Tlusty.

Doing a quick search through blogs, etc., there are a lot of people talking about this in the context of homosexuality. Touching tongues with some other guy undoubtedly added fuel to the fire. I don’t care to speculate on whether or not Jiri Tlusty is gay, or the relative gayness of his photos. However, on the timely topic of Gay Maple Leafs, I listened to an interview on CBC this morning with filmmaker Laurie Lynd regarding his new movie, Breakfast With Scot, which features a closted gay ex-Maple Leafs player. Apparently, this is the first time any NHL logo has been ALLOWED to be associated with a movie featuring a gay character. Its 2007 – that took quite a while.
